1. Generate Deposit Address
When you enter the Multigateway UI with your Nxt account, you’ll see a search progress bar in the left Coin Deposit area. That means the software is searching the Multigateway servers for an existing coin deposit address for your account. If you had already generated one, it will be displayed in a few seconds. If this is your first time using Multigateway, you’ll need to generate a Deposit Address for any coins you want to add to your Assets.
Click “Generate” to request the generation of a deposit address for your account (in our example, a BTC Deposit Address). That will issue a transaction with the current minimum fee, and Lite Multigateway will notify you of the estimated processing time before your personal deposit address is available. After a little bit, you will see your Multigateway BTC Deposit Address appear.
2. Deposit Coins
Once you have your deposit address, you can send coins to it from your BTC/LTC wallet in the usual way. After a few network confirmations, the coins you send will appear in your Nxt account as coin assets. If you’re depositing 1 BTC, for instance, you will receive 1 mgwBTC Asset. Please note that depending on the state of the network, or if one of the servers is being rebooted or under maintenance, it might take a little longer than the median blockchain confirmations (6-8 in the case if BTC) to receive your coin assets.
The current minimum deposit amounts are 0.0005 BTC, 0.05 LTC and 0.05 BTCD. If you deposit less than the minimum, the deposits will be accumulated and the assets will be credited to your account once the minimum deposit amount has been reached.
Once your deposit is received, Multigateway will send you a confirmation in a Message to your Nxt account, and your coin assets will be added to your asset balance.
Congratulations! Now your coins are in the Nxt Asset Exchange. You can trade them and sell them to other users. If you need basic information usage for the Nxt Asset Exchange, please check the Asset Exchange Wiki Page.
